Commercial off-the-shelf parts already exist as CAD. FRC-COTS is a one-click library.

Where To Grab Parts

Grab the STEP / F3D from WCP first, then WCP.

  • WCP (West Coast Products) — check here first
  • WCP Robotics — WCP swerve module, MAXPlanetary, NEO
  • WCP — wheels, hardware
  • Download the STEP/F3D, upload to FRC_COTS, then insert
Key idea

Keep everything WCP.

We use WCP for almost everything, so default to WCP parts. Staying on one vendor keeps the robot consistent — same hex stock, hole patterns, and hardware across the whole build.

Set Up The Library (Once)

  • Create a Fusion project named FRC_COTS
  • Add .f3d parts in folders: Motors/, Bearings/, Gearboxes/…
  • FRC-COTS reads everything from that project

Insert A Part

  • Utilities ▸ FRC-COTS opens the palette
  • Search e.g. 'Kraken', or browse folders
  • Click a part → it inserts into the active design
  • Pick an edge or face → it auto-aligns a rigid joint
