Where The Tools Live

In the Design workspace, AltSkripts adds an “AltSkripts” dropdown to the Create and Modify panels of the Sketch and Solid tabs.

  • Sketch tab → Create ▸ AltSkripts: C-C Distance, Bolt Pattern
  • Solid tab → Create ▸ AltSkripts: Tube Extruder, Tubify, Belt Generator, Shaft Endings
  • Solid tab → Modify ▸ AltSkripts: Part Lighten, Fillet All Edges
  • Open a panel, click the AltSkripts dropdown, pick a tool

02

C-C Distance

Sketch ▸ Create ▸ AltSkripts ▸ C-C Distance

  • Finds exact center-to-center spacing for 20DP gears, HTD 5mm & GT2 3mm belts, #25/#35 chain
  • Draws pitch-diameter + OD circles and a label documenting the math
  • Fully editable — delete any part and it all deletes
  • Use it in: Gears, Belts, Chain

Bolt Pattern

Sketch ▸ Create ▸ AltSkripts ▸ Bolt Pattern

  • Drops the bolt circle for common FRC motors about a center point
  • Edit later to change diameter or suppress holes
  • Use it in: Motor Mounting, Gussets

FRC Tube Extruder

Solid ▸ Create ▸ AltSkripts ▸ FRC Tube Extruder

  • Turns a profile into a walled 2x1 tube with the bolt/lightening hole pattern in one step
  • Set wall thickness, length, hole pattern, and end trims
  • Use it in: Your First Tube, all the Frames

Tubify Solid

Solid ▸ Create ▸ AltSkripts ▸ Tubify Solid

  • Converts a solid 1x1 or 1x2 block into a shelled, hole-punched FRC tube
  • Use when you modeled a solid shape first
  • Use it in: Frames
06

Extrude Individual

Solid ▸ Create ▸ AltSkripts ▸ Extrude Individual

  • Extrudes multiple sketch regions as separate parts in one feature — even when the regions touch
  • Pair it with Tubify to punch real aluminum tubes straight from a top-view sketch
  • Use it in: Sketch Basics, the Frames

Belt Generator

Solid ▸ Create ▸ AltSkripts ▸ Belt Generator

  • Builds a belt solid wrapping two pulleys — pick the two centers and the plane
  • Auto-names it like 'Belt 5mm-90Tx9mm' from the loop length
  • Use it in: Belts & Pulleys

Shaft Endings

Solid ▸ Create ▸ AltSkripts ▸ Shaft Endings

  • Adds e-clip / snap-ring grooves and center holes to 1/2", 3/8", 1/4" shafts
  • Use it in: Shafts & Bearings

Part Lighten

Solid ▸ Modify ▸ AltSkripts ▸ Part Lighten

  • Pockets a plate to cut weight: sketch 'spider-web' keep-lines, it offsets and cut-extrudes
  • Set wall, rib thickness, depth, and fillet
  • Use it in: Plates, Bellypan Pocketing

Fillet All Edges

Solid ▸ Modify ▸ AltSkripts ▸ Fillet All Edges

  • Fillets every edge of a body at one radius in a single click
  • Use it in: finishing plates and gussets
Key idea

One dialog beats ten clicks.

These tools encode the FRC 'right way' so every student's parts come out consistent and manufacturable.
