Get a rough version done, then refine it.
- Don't polish a part nobody has reviewed yet
- A finished okay part beats a perfect unfinished one

- Speed comes from doing it many times

Use Feedback
The fastest way to improve is to get told what's wrong.
- Submit your CAD early and often
- Ask coaches what to fix — specifically
- Watch how veterans model and copy their habits
- Keep a list of your mistakes so you stop repeating them
